In a rroma village, south of Serbia

Demiran Cerimović, son of one the Bakija Bakić orchestra player, and his orchestra « The Perles of Vranje » are Rroma living in the romani areaof the small town of Vranje in Southern Serbia. With their traditonnal rroma music, they’ve been playing on all kind of rroma and world music festivals in Serbia and above since 1997. Seven times they won the price of the best brass band rroma orchestra at « Vlasinsko leto » summer festival and three time (in 2002, 2006 and 2007) at the famous Guca brass band festival, the most important of its kind in Europe. Self-taught musicians, their authentic music is their life.

It is with the musicians of the Demiran Cerimović orchestra that Simona Jović surrounded herself, joining to her group other musicians and dancers from differents regions. All together, they take us to the fascinating univers of the authentic traditions of Central Asia, Balkans and Eastern Europe. It is a historical, cultural and artistic show in which the gracefull Simona Jović takes us with her dancing on the Silk Road and with her singing in the heart of the countries of her origins. A colorfull, deep and authentic performance of a high artistic quality and a lot of emotions!
